How much does in home dementia care in Wollongong cost?

If you are 65 years and older, you may be eligible to receive government-funded dementia home care from the government (otherwise known as a Home Care Package).

This means that the government will subsidise some of your fees, to make the service much more affordable for you. They pay your provider directly; you may be asked to make a contribution by paying a basic daily fee, an means-tested care fee (this is based on how much income you have), and any additional fees charged by your care provider.

Keep in mind that you do not necessarily have to pay all these fees, as it depends on your financial situation.

The first step in finding out if you are able to receive government funded home care is by applying for an assessment through My Aged Care. You can do this on the phone by calling 1800 200 422 or online, through the My Aged Care website. You can also nominate a family or friend to be your representative, if preferred.

If you would like assistance or English please give us a call on 1300 792 691 for guidance. We’re more than happy to help!
